![]() I agree with those comments that HaWon's character has changed. At some points I was rooting for Hyun-Min, so I ended up liking him, only to get a serious case of drama blue balls. He even LOOKS like the typical "male-friend-with-crush-on-MC-but-is-actually-harmless". So even though I wanted to, I did not consider him a contender for the love interest the main character will end up with. But there was never any chance he'd actually end up being anywhere close to be considered a romantic interest. he was nice, and he had a cute little crush on Ha-won. You could slap 35 plot twists on their relationship and they still would be bordering on abusive. No amount of "but but but he couldn't help but kiss her that one time! But but but they befriended eachother and bond over their dead mums!!!!" fixes this dynamic. Ji-Woon straight up starts off bullying Ha-won. Hyun-min teases Ha-won, which could work as a romantic setup. I would not be mad if either they got together, or ended up single. She has some, but barely any chemistry with Ji-Woon. That's bordering on being an obsessive stalker. She sat there and felt entitled to Hyun-min because he used to like her. Ha-won spent all this time trying to help Hyun-min open up about his issues TO HIMSELF so that he could start the process of healing, but Hye-min gets the trophy for it? She didn't do jack shit. "He was in love with her all along but repressed it :((((((" is just. How the hell did Hyun-min even fall for her? Because of Stockholm syndrome or something? If i was Hyun-min, i would dump her 2 weeks after we got together. Hye-Jin literally does not have any chemistry with Hyun-Min, despite her being a childhood friend. As in, she wouldn't tear up Cinderella's ball gown, but she would rat out its location to the stepmother and other stepsister. She's not the fairy godmother, she's the slightly less mean Cinderella stepsister. I tried to accept Hye-Jin since I assumed she'll be a fairy godmother but she made me hate her by the time she kissed Hyun-min. Ha-won is a much more rounded and fun character to watch. Hye-Jin is the blandest, most self-pitying and "boo-hoo poor me :((((((" character I've ever seen. The small scenes Hyun-min and Ha-won share are pretty fun to watch whenever they happen, but that just gets your hopes up. If you think of picking this up, skip it.
